Yesterday, members of the Samanage marketing team had the pleasure of meeting some local students from Hope Charter Leadership Academy in Raleigh. We discussed the students’ favorite brands and some famous marketing/brand campaigns. After the lesson, students were able to choose a product (or create their own) and design some creative brand support.
Here are some highlights:
Our marketers-in-training created entire product concepts, like an online game where players collect “robot bucks” to upgrade their robot. One group created a series of connected iPear devices and a slick logo (look out, Tim Cook). They created slogans such as “where dreams happen,” and “smell better; look better,” which was accompanied with a jingle. They even pitched their products as cost effective: “Hot Cheetos for only a dollar,” with a flaming dollar bill surrounded by Cheetos.
We had a great experience taking some time from our work day to explore these students’ interests and work on creative thinking. It was impressive to see how well these kids understand the concept of connecting with an audience to create brand awareness.
