Some of you are set to blaze trails all next week at Dreamforce in San Francisco. Many of us here at Samanage will join you.
This is just our second year attending, but we’ve already discovered a goldmine of information, innovation, and opportunity. One thing we’d like to do over the next week is bring some of that value to our audience that is not in attendance. Salesforce will broadcast keynotes, sessions, and product announcements here, but these are some additional things buzzing around the conference.
Einstein, AI, and Smart Technology
Dreamforce will surely provide an educational experience on new business tools, applications, and “smart” functionality.
Last year, Salesforce introduced the world to Einstein, its new AI technology. This year promises an education in how Einstein will make its way into customer facing roles within the Salesforce Clouds and supported applications.
Since Samanage Service Desk for Salesforce is built natively on Service Cloud, we’re excited for the evolution of AI technology for an internal customer service role. In fact, we’ll introduce a new feature of our own as “Samanage Voice” makes its way into service management. Dreamforce attendees can see how voice-based conversation can support internal service processes, and of course, we’ll have more on this new technology in the coming weeks.
In 2016, Salesforce enthusiasts were introduced to a new user experience in Salesforce Lightning, a modern look and feel paired with an ability to develop integrated applications and new functionality. It was an unknown quantity, but full of promise to many Dreamforce attendees.
This year we’re seeing the fulfillment of that promise with “Lightning enabled” apps, slick user experience, and versatile functionality for adopters of Salesforce Lightning. In fact, Lightning adoption has led to an average productivity increase of 41%.
2017 Dreamforce attendees will learn more about the benefits, find business tools that are “Lightning Enabled” (like this shameless plug), and experience the Einstein-powered AI features available to Lightning users.
The Change Management Award Goes To…
The Pledge1% participants at Dreamforce (a very long list). One great thing about this annual gathering is the emphasis on social responsibility. Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff is well known for his charitable efforts for children.
For our part, we’re donating to Make-a-Wish to help a sick child in our area. We’ll increase our donation for every visitor to our booth and increase it again for every visitor who fills out a survey.
