It’s true, iOS apps generated more revenue than Hollywood did in 2014. That is huge. Mobile application development is growing at a rapid rate. Halloween costumes are no longer limited to the movies we’ve seen, but our favorite apps (Hello, Angry Birds!). Think about how much each celebrity is paid for a movie, it’s almost impossible to believe that apps in the range of $.99 to $5.99 could generate more revenue than the biggest blockbusters combined.
So that got us thinking, if the top paid celebrities of 2014 starred in the highest grossing iOS iPhone apps of 2014, who would be the leading man or woman in each app?
Robert Downey Jr. would star in Heads Up! Seriously, who hasn’t this guy worked with? Between being Sherlock Holmes and IronMan, he pretty much knows everything.
Angelina Jolie would command Minecraft. Laura Croft Tomb Raider could easily survive the farm lands. Her UN work, combined with her ability to thrive in third world countries, let’s just say she’d easily build a structure from the ground up.
Emma Stone would light up Afterlight. Any movie Emma Stone stars in seems to turn to gold. Her ability to adapt to roles and showcase her fashion would make her ideal in the photo editing world.
Will Smith would be the leading man in Sleep Cycle. We’d like to think he would always wake us up on a good note, serenading us with “Miami.”
Jennifer Aniston would be the starlet in Facetune. After a few decades in the spotlight and one of the most notorious haircuts of the ‘90s, if anyone knows how to achieve “magazine-style results” it’s going to be her.
Liam Neeson would destroy Cut the Rope 2. He scales buildings, single-handedly takes out large groups of mafia players, and has the best action one-liners. Feeding and collecting stars at the same time? No problem.
Dwayne Johnson’s previous encounters in the ring would bode well in Baloons TD 5. Ever since we saw The Rock play Mr. Peeper’s father on SNL we knew he was meant for greatness. And, by greatness we mean popping balloons as a monkey.
Mark Wahlberg in 7 Minute Workout Challenge. You know why.
Who would be the leading man or woman in your favorite iOS app?
